Movie Reflection

Neo, Calvin and I made a movie about what we loved. Our movie was so awesome because we had very good graphics and it was interesting. When I was watching it I felt like jumping off my seat and do those things. We could have done more on our background. I reckon that we should have had more music so it was entertaining.

          1980’s EventsIn 1980’s, the Americans boycotted (Protest ) the Moscow Olympics because of what happen in December 27th 1979. In 1979, Russia invaded Afghanistan. They invaded because they wanted more land and power.

Music in 2013

Over the last 2 decades of years, music has change a lot from the 1970’s of disco and the 1980’s of the jackson 5. Since then the music today has got its own style to it. Have you noticed that every song we listen to today either have Rap, Pop, R&B, Hip Hop or Techno in it.

We even have new styles like Dubstep, (It is an electronic song with lots of bass and beats) .

Prospective Student

The boy was determined to get to the top of the towering mountain to find the dojo. Suddenly as he was climbing the vertical rocks one of his hands struggled to get to the next and slipped.” Oh no this is the end” he thought in his head. He was petrified. He stretched his other hand and gripped strongly to the ledge above and heaved himself up. As he was nervously waiting to catch his breath he noticed that he was at the top.

“THANK GOD there's the dojo” he shouted. He hiked up the icy path one step at a time wiping his sweat. “This is my time”

Once there lived three little joyful wolves in a farm by a roaring waterfall. Everyday the little wolves would play in their backyard and watched the airplanes fly above their head. Across the waterfall lived the meanest pig. He was bad, mean, and terrible. He hated the three little wolves.

One day the mean pig cross the river and tried to catch the wolves. He stomped his way to the first little wolf’s house. It was made out of hay .”I will stomp and jump and knock your house down” Said the pig Not on the hairs on my chiny chin chin” said the smallest wolf. So the big mean pig stomped and jumped and knocked his house down. The smallest pig ran off to the second oldest wolves house. His house was made out of brick. “Come out come out little wolfs” Or I will stomp and jump and knock your house down”. “ Not on the hairs on my chiny chin chin” Said the too young wolfs.

So the pig stomped & jumped and knocked the second wolf’s house down. The two wolfs scattered off to the oldest wolfs house. The mean old pig chased the pigs. The two younger pigs ran into the big brother house it was made of steel. “Little wolf’s  little wolf's please come out”. Said the Pig “ Not on the hairs on my chiny chin chin”  said the the wolf’s. ”I will stomp and jump and knock your house down”.

So the pig stomped and jumped and did not knocked the house down. So the pig climbed to the top of the house and tried to get through by the chimney. The pig fell through the chimney and dropped into a hot boiling pot. After all the 3 joyful wolfs lived happily ever after and had pork for dinner.

Literacy Rotation

This tearm at Pt England School the teachers from Team 5 have made an interesting rotation for the team 5 student. School has been starting at 8:30 for the year 7 and 8 students to have a chance to learn with each teacher an to learn new things.  We had a choice of four things such as visual arts, stop-motion film making, hyperstudio and literacy.


Last week my first session was visual art. Our teacher was Miss Tito. When we were doing art Miss Tito taught us a lot about kowhaiwhai and Maori words such as koru, pitoe, ponga and  kowhaiwhai,  which is a patten that is joined together.


I really enjoyed my time in visual art with Miss Tito. I really enjoyed art because it is my favourite subject. I learned many Maori words  from Miss Tito and pattens.


This week I am in literacy. As you might know, literacy is about reading and  writing. My teacher for literacy is Mrs Nua. Today was my first day doing reading - it was really interesting because we read things from the newspaper and played word games.


I feel that the new literacy rotation is really cool because it gives us time to work more and to lean more things.

Cook Off

Jason was not like every other person out there his dream was to be a cook.He had practices for years. A competition was coming to the home town of New Zone. It was Jason turn to make a new life. He packed his bag and left before the sun hit noon. A man named Jake was was just like Jason he wanted to be a cook. He lock up the house and sat off for an adventure.

They both sign up. Hello I'm Jason, I'm Jake. As they read the sign up paper they found out you had to be in two. I guess I can’t go this year said Jake in a sadly voice.  Want a minute said Jason what about me a you. Great idea said Jake.

Jake and Jason made to the finals it was them and the other team. Jake and Jason made Seafood chowder it was great said all the judge's licking they mouths. The other team made burgers it looked so good. One mouthful at a time when the judge’s. One of them standed up. The winner of this year's cook off is........ JAKE AND JASON. YES they said.

League Training

Every Thursday room 19 go out to the field or hall for league practise it is really fun. We've been learning how to do 2 kicks grubber kick and punt, also learn how to catch in the right way. We play games before a practise session every time we go. The games that we like to play before our session is Octopus.

When we go to the hall I always can’t wait for league. I love playing games. I write about league every week. Can,t wait into Thursday.
